The Herd Steak Restaurant
At The Herd, our steaks are the star of the show. We’re passionate about sourcing, cooking and eating the best steak in the UK by working with local farms to offer quality cuts, from a knockout Chateaubriand to share or a sublime sirloin.
Cooked over an open wood-fired grill, our steak develops a distinct, smoky flavour which you can pair with a choice of rubs, sauces and ‘I want them all sides’ that friends and family will be delighted to share.
All of our steaks are 30-day dry-aged to ensure the best balance of tenderness and taste and supplied by Vicars, our local family butchers. Our meat come primarily from our house ‘herd’ – the Red Sussex from Royal Windsor – and our other favourites include Highland, Angus and Wagyu. In fact, it’s fair to say we’re pretty serious when it comes to finding the perfect tasting steak.
If you’re a rookie when it comes to steak, our knowledgeable team is always on hand to assist you on your Herd journey. For our veggie, vegan and flexitarian diners, we also have non-steak dishes available. Please view our menu below or speak to a member of our team.
Please note, although we love our pups, we do not allow dogs to dine with you in The Herd restaurant. We would be happy to arrange a table for you and your dog in our Babar.
