Beer Stampede 10-12 Sept

Join us at the Elephant for our second Beer Stampede.

It all kicks off on Friday 10th September @ 4pm with something for everyone throughout the weekend.

There will be around 25 different local Ales and cider to sample as well as some from outside the county. To name a few of the breweries represented; Arkell's, West Berkshire Brewery, Butts, Ridgeway, White Horse, Milton.

There will be Live Music of all kinds to get everybody up on their feet.
We have local brilliant solo artists, good old rock'n roll, a 9 piece blue grass country band as well as a Swedish blues coming over especially for the Beer Stampede. Bring it on!

Join us on Saturday night to send off Chinese lanterns in the sky for a colourful end of the day.

There will be BBQ every day as well as a Paella on the Friday, Hog Roast on the Saturday.

This is the event of the year everyone's talking about! Not to be missed!

Newbury Races Special Offer

The Elephant has secured four membership badges for every race meeting at Newbury Racecourse for the rest of the year. We are pleased to offer the following two racing packages:

For daytime meetings, we are offering a one night dinner bed and breakfast stay for two in a standard double room, inclusive of two membership badges, for just £245 – or £155 for one person in a single room.

For evening meetings, we offer a one night bed & breakfast stay for two in a standard double room, inclusive of two membership badges, for just £185 – or £125 for one person in a single room.

In each case, you’ll be able to relax at The Elephant the night after the races - and you will need to pass by the hotel to pick up your badge(s) on the way to the racecourse.

Subject to availability, we may be able to book you lunch in the Hennessy Restaurant for day meetings – and we can obviously pre-book a taxi to take you to and from the races if you wish.

As we only have four membership badges, these packages are available on a first come first served basis.

Every Wednesday from 5.00pm onwards come and sample a special selection of wines
– from just 50p for a 50 ml taster to only £2.50 for 250 ml.

£10 Supper club in BaBar!
Good honest grub with a pint or glass of vino thrown in.

Friday
Our function rooms are yours to use on a friday evening - FREE! Just book them in advance and bring friends, colleagues or family along for a cocktail or dinner party, or to view a DVD or even hold a Wii competition. We’ll supply the food and drink – you have fun.

Saturday
Food served all day. 

Sunday
We’re now offering a full two course Sunday lunch for just £15.95! Then in the evening, why not Wine, Dine & Stay for Free?
Have an à la carte dinner for 2 with a bottle of wine and then stay the night in luxury. You just need to spend £75 on food and drinks - the room is on us!
