Reading is only four miles from the hotel – a 16-minute car journey to be precise. If you’re without a car or fancy a car-free day or evening trip into the town centre, Pangbourne train station is within walking distance of the hotel. Jump on a train and you can be in Reading town centre within 15 minutes.
London
If you’re looking to go a bit further afield, London is only 40 minutes away by train. With a wealth of attractions to suit everyone you may want to start your day at the Tower of London. Further along the Southbank, why not take a ride on the London Eye for the perfect bird's eye view of the nation's capital.
If you are travelling with kids no trip to London is complete without visiting Madame Tussauds, London Zoo and the Natural History Museum.
Garden lovers might want to spend the day at the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew or Kensington Gardens, whilst Oxford Street is a must for shopaholics.
The London Dungeon is not for the faint-hearted but great fun for adults and teenagers.
